New construction of 370 apartment units, in two 5-story podium style residential buildings with adjoining parking garage, amenity courtyards, storefront retail space, and extensive in-house amenities, situated in the heart of downtown Worcester, MA. The program amenities include multi-level parking garage, fitness and yoga studios, media room, swimming pool, cyber café, golf simulator, work-share space and dog daycare facility.
Project roles included management of project documentation, consultant and client coordination, parking garage layout and design, code analysis, and retail planning. Design challenges included integrated program circulation and phased construction delivery, transformer vault and utility coordination in a dense urban setting, and detailing connections of post-tension concrete, steel, protected and unprotected wood construction. Featured in the Wall Street Journal as an example of forward-thinking rejuvenation and reclamation of failing urban centers. Project completion: Bldg A & Garage: Spring 2018 - Bldg B: Fall 2018
